Position Summary
Johns Manville seeks a ClassA CDL freight truck driver to deliver products to jobsites and warehouses across Texas, Oklahoma, and neighboring states. The role is full‑time, solo operator with responsibilities that include route planning, safe driving, load securing, vehicle inspections, forklift operation, and occasional warehouse support.
Responsibilities- Deliver full truckloads of Johns Manville products to jobsites and warehouses
- Operate commercial vehicles with a gross vehicle weight over 26,001lbs, obeying DOT regulations
- Plan and dispatch routes from Hillsboro, TX, for intra‑state (TX, OK) and interstate deliveries
- Maintain detailed driver logs documenting mileage, travel time, and rest periods
- Conduct vehicle inspection reports and use required PPE
- Secure loads using tarps, straps, and chains
- Operate forklift and perform general warehouse duties as needed
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate with dispatch
- Minimum 5years of safe, verifiable driving experience
- Valid ClassA CDL with HAZMAT endorsement
- Current medical certification
- Ability to successfully pass a drug‑screen test
- Physical capability to lift/push/pull up to 50lb, bend, kneel, and work in varying temperatures
- Strong communication skills and customer‑service orientation
The role requires long periods of standing, lifting/pushing/pulling at least 50lb, repetitive hand movements, working in dusty and temperature‑varying environments, and the ability to handle a 12‑hour rotating shift schedule.
