Fleet Driver – Hillsboro, TX
Full time position responsible for communicating and supporting JM core values and delivering the JM experience. Drives and operates a combination of trucks and vehicles that have a gross vehicle weight of more than 26,001 pounds and require a Class A license and HAZMAT certification.

CompensationBase hourly rate: $33.89.
Responsibilities- Deliver full truckloads of Johns Manville products to jobsites and warehouses.
- Safely drive a commercial vehicle and comply with safety & DOT regulations.
- Full‑time solo operator.
- Load dispatch out of Hillsboro, TX daily by planning routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules.
- Operate 5‑day schedule with occasional weekend or overnight travel; must be flexible with scheduling.
- Equipment primarily flatbeds with some dry vans.
- Interstate deliveries (TX) and intrastate locations such as OK, LA, and others.
- Keep a detailed driver log (mileage, travel time, sleep) to document compliance with DOT regulations.
- Have the physical capability to drive long periods and tie down loads securely.
- Provide excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Perform vehicle inspection reports.
- Use personal protective equipment as required and adhere to safety protocols.
- Operate a forklift in a warehouse environment.
- Assist with other tasks as needed.
- No supervisory responsibilities.
- At least 5 years of safe and verifiable driving experience.
- Current medical certification.
- Valid Class A CDL with HAZMAT endorsement.
- Ability to meet Johns Manville driving qualifications.
- Ability to safely operate a forklift.
- Pass a drug screen test.
- Ability to tarp, strap, and chain loads to maintain cargo security.
- No DUI/DWI convictions.
- Stand for extended periods.
- Manually lift, push, or pull at least 50 pounds with proper body mechanics, sometimes in awkward positions.
- Use hands repetitively (grabbing, feeling, sensing, pulling).
- Work safely in a fast‑paced, sometimes stressful environment.
- Work safely in a dusty environment across a broad temperature range.
- Work a 12‑ or 8‑hour rotating shift schedule.
- Bend, stoop, or kneel repetitively.
- Reach or work above shoulder height.
