Project Engineer, Civil Engineering

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our growing team in New Jersey. This position is ideal for a construction professional with 5–7 years of hands-on experience in heavy civil infrastructure projects who is ready to take on greater responsibility and play a key role in project execution. The successful candidate will bring a strong technical foundation, a proactive mindset, and the ability to manage multiple project components independently.

This role offers an opportunity to contribute to significant highway, bridge, environmental, and site development projects across the region.

Responsibilities will include:

• Support project management in planning, scheduling, and cost control
• Oversee field progress and ensure adherence to project timelines and standards
• Coordinate subcontractor and vendor activities and review project documentation
• Manage change orders, submittals, and project close-out processes
• Conduct site inspections to ensure quality and compliance
• Assist in estimating, budgeting, and progress reporting

Candidates must possess:

• Proven 5+ years of experience operating heavy equipment such as describe above
• Strong aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols
