Description2nd Shift - 4:00pm - 12:30am
Roleand Responsibilities
- Pack products into containers/cartons
- Seal and label packages
- Prepare products for shipping or storage
- Inspect products, materials, and containers
- Ensure products meet company quality standards
- Identify and report defects or issues
- Operate or assist with machines (e.g., conveyors)
- Start/stop or monitor equipment
- Keep work area clean
- Maintain organized workspace
- Work efficiently and meet production goals
- Follow instructions and procedures
- Be reliable and consistent
- Communicate issues to supervisors
- Other duties may be assigned.
Safetyand Compliance
- All emphasize:
- Following workplace safety rules (e.g., Occupational Health and Safety Act)
- Reporting hazards or unsafe conditions
- Working safely around machinery
- Food safety, but the core safety expectation is the same.
Qualification & Education Requirements
- High school / Grade 10 level education
- Little to some experience (0–1 year) in manufacturing/packaging
Knowledge and Skills
- Reading and understanding simple instructions
- Basic writing/communication
- Simple math (add, subtract, count, measure)
- Follow instructions and procedures
- Use common sense in routine situations
- Pay attention to detail
Working Environment and Physical Requirements
- Very similar across all:
- Standing for long periods
- Using hands for repetitive tasks
- Light to moderate weight (up to ~50lbs.)
- Walking, reaching, handling objects
- Close vision required
- Manufacturing/production setting
- Exposure to noise (moderate to high) and fumes or particles (in some cases)
