Project Manager, Drywall

Role Description The Project Manager, Drywall role is a full-time, hybrid position based in Hillside, IL, with some work-from-home flexibility. This role oversees drywall project planning and execution, including reviewing drawings and specifications, developing scopes of work, and coordinating schedules, budgets, and resources. The Project Manager collaborates with field supervisors, expeditors, and subcontractors to ensure materials, equipment, and labor are available on time and in the correct sequence for installation.

Day-to-day responsibilities include tracking project progress, managing change orders, addressing issues identified during inspections, and maintaining strong communication with clients, the internal team, and vendors. The Project Manager also ensures compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and company procedures, while preparing regular status reports and documentation from project start through closeout.

Qualifications

• Project Management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and coordinating drywall construction activities.
• Expeditor and Expediting skills to manage material orders, delivery timelines, and vendor follow-up for drywall and related scopes.
• Inspection experience to verify installation quality, adherence to plans and specifications, and compliance with safety and building standards.
• Logistics Management skills to oversee site logistics, sequencing of trades, and efficient movement and storage of materials.
• Experience in commercial drywall or interior construction; understanding of rough carpentry, acoustical ceilings, and door & hardware is beneficial.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with clients, field teams, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Proficiency with construction management software, MS Office, and digital project documentation tools.
• Ability to work on-site in Hillside, IL as needed in a hybrid arrangement and travel to local job sites.
• Relevant education or training in construction management, engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience is also valued.
