Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Location: Hillside, IL
Compensation: $27-$31/hr + 10% shift differential + comprehensive benefits package included
Shift: 2nd Shift
Position OverviewWe are currently seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team on the 2nd shift. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the maintenance and optimization of our equipment and facilities.

- Create, maintain, communicate, and follow preventive maintenance schedules for equipment.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to install, set up, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair production equipment, material handling equipment, and building systems.
- Perform emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment.
- Conduct scheduled maintenance of production equipment.
- Perform repair and maintenance tasks, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic repair and maintenance of production machines.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals, work orders, blueprints, and schematics for assigned equipment.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and safety laws, regulations, and policies.
- Determine, specify, and communicate complete instructions for custom fabrication of tooling and equipment modifications.
- Source tooling, parts, supplies, and equipment from outside vendors with management approval.
- Ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment malfunctions.
- 3 - 7 years of experience in maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in basic shop mathematics and accurate measurement recording.
- Competence in sketching custom parts and tools and using powered and non-powered hand tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for memos, emails, and maintenance records.
- Capability to read and interpret technical documentation pertaining to assigned equipment.
