CNC Operator

Pro Craft Cabinetry Chicago is seeking a skilled and dependable CNC Machine Operator with experience operating edge banding machinery. The ideal candidate will understand edge banding operations, machine setup, and troubleshooting, and will be capable of operating a beam saw, CNC router, and edge banding equipment in a production environment. This position involves repetitive, short-cycle machining operations, including cutting, routing, laminating, and edge banding products to precise specifications and tight tolerances.

The successful candidate will maintain high standards of quality, productivity, and workplace safety.

• Review work orders, blueprints, drawings, and production specifications to determine machining requirements and materials needed.
• Set up, program, and operate CNC routers, beam saws, and edge banding machines according to production requirements.
• Load, position, and secure materials properly to ensure accurate and efficient machine operation.
• Monitor machine performance and adjust settings as needed to maintain product quality and production efficiency.
• Operate and troubleshoot edge banding machines, ensuring proper adhesive application, edge alignment, trimming, and finishing.
• Inspect finished products and verify dimensions, accuracy, and quality according to established standards.
• Identify and resolve common machine issues, replace worn tools, and report equipment malfunctions when necessary.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and follow all safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate production records and communicate equipment issues, material needs, and production updates to supervisors and team members.
• Keep machines, tools, and work areas clean, organized, and safe.
• Follow production schedules and quality standards while maintaining consistent productivity.
• Participate in training and continuously improve machine operation and troubleshooting skills.

• 2-3 years of CNC machining/programming experience required.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift and move 35-50 pounds.
• Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
• Experience with CNC routers, beam saws, and edge banding machines preferred.

• Cabinet-making experience.
• Beam Saw, CNC router, or Edge banding experience.

$20-25 per hour (Hourly, Non-Exempt).

Monday to Friday; 8:00 AM
-4:30 PM. We also provide overtime weekly.

Full-Time;
