Material Handler Ops

The Material Handler is responsible for moving materials around the department, and in and out of the department to ensure that the department is able to function in the safest and most efficient way possible.

• Safely drive a forklift to stage material, load trucks, unload trucks and transfer material within the plant and within departments as needed
• Keeps safety at the forefront of team’s thinking and approach to work
• Communicates and ensures all safety procedures are strictly adhered to
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing assigned tasks on time
• Maintains inventory by identifying and placing materials and supplies in assigned locations
• Prepares finished stock for pickup by identifying, pulling, and securing product in correct location
• Be a reliable member of the team, always identifying and professionally communicating ways to improve the work environment
• Other responsibilities as directed or required

• Support, comply and ensure complicity with Health & Safety regulations, the Company Handbook, Quality and Environmental standards, and all other Company policies and procedures

• Organization, dealing with complexity, time management, process improvement, safety management, forklift operation, inventory control, lifting
• Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds
• Highly detail oriented
• Being able to operate a handheld scanner quickly and accurately to order items
• Read and understand the shipping documents
