Contract Details:
- Location(s): Hillside, IL.
- Contract follows the academic district calendar - Full-Time.
- $40 - $45 per Hour.
- $1,200 - $1,350 per Week.
- Current RN license in Illinois.
- Current First Aid or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR/BLS) certification.
- Prior professional nursing experience, preferably in school and/or pediatric nursing..
- Must have the ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time; see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids; hear and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone; speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in person and on the telephone; and the ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions;
May include frequent walking, standing, stooping, lifting up to approximately 25 pounds and occasional lifting of equipment and/or materials weighing up to approximately 40 pounds may be required.
- Provide one-on-one nursing support to a student with significant medical and developmental needs.
- Work directly with the family of student in need of 1:1 nursing care to administer personal medical care, including transportation, and any school medications.
- Conduct health assessments and screenings to identify health concerns and provide appropriate interventions.
- Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and school policies.
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid as necessary.
- Maintain accurate and confidential health records for all students.
- Educate students, staff, and families on health-related topics, including illness prevention, nutrition, and hygiene.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to address health concerns and promote a healthy school environment.
- Stay up to date on current nursing practices, regulations, and guidelines related to school health services.
