Account Manager – HVAC (Chicago, IL)

Base pay range: $100,000 – $150,000 per year.

A top Mechanical Contractor in the Chicagoland area is seeking a motivated and results‑oriented Account Manager to lead new business development efforts within the HVAC sector.

Headquartered in the Western Suburbs, we are a trusted provider of mechanical contracting services, specializing in HVAC solutions for commercial, industrial, and institutional clients. With decades of experience, we’ve built a reputation for high‑quality workmanship, responsive service, and innovative system designs tailored to complex building environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in commercial and residential HVAC markets.
  • Develop outreach strategies to engage prospective clients and convert leads into long‑term partnerships.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline through networking, referrals, and market research.
  • Collaborate with technical and operations teams to deliver tailored HVAC solutions that meet client needs.
  • Lead client onboarding and ensure a smooth transition from prospect to active account.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes to inform strategic growth.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and networking functions.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management—preferably in HVAC, building services, or related industries.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build trust and rapport with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in CRM platforms and sales analytics tools.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
