Position: NJ4S Assistant Director

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Under the direction of the Hub Director, the Assistant Director oversees the staff and activities of the Hub office and operational unit(s) responsible for providing general administrative and/or fiscal management activities, program policy and planning services, along with varied social, community, and/or education-related services for the region. Provides supervisory oversight and management of the Hub staff and the model to ensure alignment with program procedures and the DCF Operations Manual.

Assists the Director in the development of the program’s administrative and programmatic operations. Develops and maintains partnerships and collaborations with school districts and community resources and ensures program availability, opportunities, and successes are marketed to promote program sustainability.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Assistant Director is responsible for managing NJ4S program services. This responsibility includes but is not limited to:

Planning and implementation of programs in schools and communities. Establishing alliances with organizations that have similar or allied goals, such as school boards, local law enforcement, healthcare providers, community centers, and service providers. Serve as a customer service role model to ensure a positive relationship in interactions with all participants, applying to schools and the community.

Provides supervision to a team of prevention specialists who will provide trainings and workshops to community and youth.

Implement evidence-based prevention services and curriculum fidelity. Supervise the program team Develop a program evaluation framework to assess the strengths of the program and to identify areas for improvement

Develop and effectively manage program timelines to achieve grant deliverables.

Develop andmaintainpositiverelationshipswithpartners,funders,and stakeholders.

Participateinstrategicplanningactivitiesandexecutivemanagementmeetings/trainings.

Lead and facilitate internal and external meetings with staff, school partners, community stakeholders, and other NJ4S partners.

Deliver engaging presentations, workshops, informational sessions, and program overviews to diverse audiences, including school administrators, educators, parents/caregivers, students, community partners, and professional groups. Represent NJ4S at conferences, community events, stakeholder meetings, networking events, and other public forums.

Ensure the collection and easy access of programmatic information such as, but not limited to, program outcomes, number of people served, etc.

STAFFING RESPONSIBILITIES

In collaboration with the Director of NJ4S,recruit,interview,and select well- qualified program staff

Ensure compliance and model by example Prevention Links' human resources policies, procedures, and practices

Complete regular performance evaluations

Meet with staff(one-on-ones, team meetings, etc.) to understand and troubleshoot challenges they are facing.

PROGRAM LEADERSHIP

Ensure all team members receive proper onboarding and offboarding.

Ensure all team members receive appropriate training

Supervise team by providing direction, input, and performance feedback in real time.

Coordinate the delivery of services among different program activities to increase effectiveness and efficiency
