DutiesSummary
Located in the Financial Statements Section, Uniform Accounting and Reporting Branch, Accounting Division of the Department of Accounting & General Services, this position is responsible for the coordination of the annual Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards (SEFA).
Key responsibilities include:
- Interpreting the Federal Office of Management and Budget (OMB) pronouncements
- Preparing instructions and SEFA data packages
- Analyzing and consolidating financial information
- Drafting financial statements and notes
- Providing SEFA data input training to departmental personnel
- Assisting the Section Chief in coordinating the preparation of the State's Comprehensive Annual Financial Report

:
Must be a citizen, national, or permanent resident alien of the United States, or otherwise eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States. - Education
:
Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited four‑year college or university with at least twelve semester credit hours in accounting and/or auditing subjects. - Professional accounting experience
:
Three and a half years of progressively responsible professional accounting or auditing experience, which may include teaching accounting at the university level. - Fund control experience
:
One year of professional work experience interpreting and applying governmental accounting and reporting requirements and pronouncements, and analyzing and preparing governmental financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Evidence of passing the Uniform Certified Public Accountant Examination may substitute for this requirement. - Supervisory aptitude
:
Demonstrated aptitude or potential for supervisory duties through successful completion of assignments that involved supervisory responsibilities.
