Recruitment Number: 26-0267. This vacancy is with the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation at the Oahu Community Correctional Center in Kalihi. Category: dental health services (LHB2). Salary: $10,135 to $23,842 per month.

Travel Requirements:
Position requires travel to all eight correctional facilities on Oahu (four) and the neighboring islands (four).

Serves as branch chief responsible for planning, organizing, directing, coordinating, and evaluating a statewide direct clinical dental health service program. Formulates policies and procedures for dental services through community and institution-based clinics, determines budget and staffing requirements, supervises a staff of dentists and dental assistants, and performs related duties as assigned.

• Legal Authorization:
  Must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident alien, or otherwise authorized under federal law.
• License:
  Must possess a current license to practice dentistry in Hawaii. Applicants must attach a copy of the license.
• Supervisory Aptitude:
  Demonstrated aptitude or potential for supervisory duties through successful completion of assignments that include supervisory responsibilities.
• Managerial Aptitude:
  Demonstrated ability to organize, schedule, and coordinate a group of activities to meet program objectives within time, resources, and budget limitations.
• Drug Screening & Background Check:
  Conditional offers subject to drug screening and background check.

• Has not engaged in sexual abuse in any correctional or detention setting.
• Has not been convicted or pursued or engaged in sexual activity with inmates or misconduct.
• Has not been the subject of substantiated allegations regarding sexual abuse or sexual harassment.
