Department of Rehabilitation Services Mission:
Provide patient‑focused collaborative care grounded in quality, safety, wellness, population health and innovation to enable readiness and conserve the fighting strength for all.
The Vision of the Department of Rehabilitation Services is to provide world‑class, interdisciplinary rehabilitative services, comprehensive pain management, and electro‑diagnostic services to enhance military readiness and maximal return of function to our nation's Service members, beneficiaries, and retirees.
Responsibilities- Conduct administrative baseline and periodic medical qualification and certification exams that include but are not limited to pre‑placement for employment.
- Perform administrative baseline and periodic medical surveillance exams based on unique job code or work task hazards, Industrial Hygiene worksite survey, and Occupational Medicine worksite visits.
- Perform administrative exams in support of fitness for duty, return to work, and request for reasonable accommodation determinations.
- Perform initial evaluation and treatment for minor on‑the‑job injuries of civilian employees or refers them to an appropriate level of care.
- Serve as Occupational Medicine consultant through knowledge and interpretation of applicable regulation, local policy and interpretation of new/advanced procedures or technology.
- Participate in committees, work groups, required reporting and policy revision activities.
- Formally engage with installation, network, community and professional organization representatives and leadership.
- Collaborate with Occupational Medicine Service staff on program management, customer service, periodic compliance inspection activity, and local graduate medical education representatives on training support.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Degree: Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, or equivalent from a school in the United States or Canada. This degree must have been accredited by the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association;
Association of American Medical Colleges;
Liaison Committee on Medical Education;
Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation of the American Osteopathic Association, or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained. A Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree from a foreign medical school must have provided education and medical knowledge equivalent to accredited schools in the United States.
