• A doctorate in Biology is required, specializing in areas such as Ecology or Conservation Biology. Additional expertise in Anatomy is desirable.

• As an educational institution affiliated with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Church), BYU–Hawaii prefers to hire qualified members of the Church in good standing. To be eligible for employment, applicants who are members of the Church must hold and be worthy to hold a current temple recommend and receive a clearance from the Church’s Ecclesiastical Clearance Office.

• Teach approximately 36 semester credit hours per year over three semesters in the following subject areas:
  Intro Biology, Ecology, Conservation Biology, Marine Biology, Statistics, Anatomy

• Salary range: 114K-124K (assistant–associate professor), depending on credentials, rank and experience.
• Contract renewable up to three years, contingent upon successful annual review.
• NOT eligible for Continuing Faculty Status (BYU–H equivalent of “tenure-track”).
• BYU–Hawaii health benefits for full-time employees.
• Eligible for renting BYU-Hawaii housing if units are available.
