University of Hawai‘i at Hilo, College of Agriculture, Forestry & Natural Resource Management.

Type:
Part‑time, temporary (non‑tenure). Available for  academic year. Requires availability to teach day, evening, weekend, or distance learning courses as needed.

Salary:
Applicable minimum for the Academic Year.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Teach assigned courses in the appropriate discipline.
    • AGBU 320:
      Agribusiness Management
    • Other related courses as needed (lecture and/or lab)
  • Prepare course schedule, syllabus, and reports related to teaching and student progress.
  • Work under the supervision of the discipline chairperson.
  • Maintain a minimum of one office hour per week for each course taught.
  • Possible evening, weekend, and off-campus assignments, including distance-learning assignments for courses taught via the Internet.
  • Other related tasks and/or duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Agricultural Economics.
  • Experience teaching college students in the subject matter.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in the appropriate field.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse student population.
