Lecturer (Astronomy) – University of Hawai'i at Hilo

• Conduct lectures and/or laboratories for the Bachelor’s Degree (BS) in Astronomy.
• Teach general‑education lecture and/or laboratory astronomy courses offered by the Department of Physics and Astronomy.
• Maintain a minimum of one office hour per week for each course taught.

• Master’s degree in astronomy or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
• Evidence of satisfactory teaching ability.

• College‑level astronomy teaching experience beyond the teaching‑assistant level.
• Demonstrated high‑quality teaching in a multicultural setting.
• Experience with astronomy laboratory equipment, in particular small‑aperture telescopes.
