Lecturer (Astronomy) – University of Hawai'i at Hilo
LocationUH Hilo, Hawaii
Duties & Responsibilities- Conduct lectures and/or laboratories for the Bachelor’s Degree (BS) in Astronomy.
- Teach general‑education lecture and/or laboratory astronomy courses offered by the Department of Physics and Astronomy.
- Maintain a minimum of one office hour per week for each course taught.
- Master’s degree in astronomy or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
- Evidence of satisfactory teaching ability.
- College‑level astronomy teaching experience beyond the teaching‑assistant level.
- Demonstrated high‑quality teaching in a multicultural setting.
- Experience with astronomy laboratory equipment, in particular small‑aperture telescopes.
