College of Natural and Health Sciences, Department of Marine Science. Closing:

Applicable Minimum for the Academic Year. Other Conditions:
Positions are contingent on course offerings, sufficient student enrollment, position clearance, and availability of funding. Must be available to teach during the day, evening, weekend, and/or via distance learning as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Teach assigned courses in the discipline.
  • Prepare course syllabi and reports related to teaching and student progress.
  • Maintain a minimum of one office hour per week for each course taught.
  • Work under the supervision of the discipline coordinator/division chairperson in integrating teaching efforts with other instructors in the discipline area.
  • May include instructional assignments involving field‑based laboratories with snorkeling or from a boat.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Marine Science or a closely related discipline.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Degree must be from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Teaching experience at the university level.
  • Evidence of ability to teach effectively.
