Position Overview

Variable schedule:
Monday – Friday, between 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, schedule may vary based on operational needs and part time status - Faculty Salary Range: $59,790 - $120,828 – compensation commensurate with qualifications; salary will be prorated based on actual FTE

- Design and deliver effective classroom instruction.
- Attend regular conferences with colleagues.
- Meet with students during office hours to provide extra support.
- Adapt to diverse classroom environments.
- Ensure smooth delivery of ongoing instructional programs.
- Motivate students to maximize learning opportunities.
- Use classroom time appropriately and wisely.
- Bachelor’s Degree required in Mathematics or related field.
- Thorough knowledge of content including through at least high school Pre‑Calculus.
- Demonstrated familiarity with curriculum, teaching methods and assessment frameworks in the subjects and age ranges; and age‑related expectations of students.
- Ability to administer and interpret a variety of assessments.
- Working familiarity with assistive technologies, Internet and Email systems, word processing and spreadsheet software.
- Familiarity with computers (Apple) and their use in instruction to enhance student learning.
- Working knowledge of various office and video equipment.
- Knowledge of educational software.
- The ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
- Three (3) years of experience working in a high school setting.
- Experience teaching Pre‑Calculus, AP Statistics, Differential Calculus and/or AP Calculus AB courses.
- Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds; an understanding of the developmental needs of adolescents and sensitivity to each individual student’s needs; the ability to appreciate the variety of perspectives offered by all members of the community.
