Position: Lecturer (Kinesiology and Exercise Science)

Description

Lecturer (Kinesiology and Exercise Science) – Part‑time, temporary, non‑tenure position at the University of Hawai‘i didates must be available to teach during the day, evening, weekend, and/or via distance learning as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct lectures and laboratory courses in the kinesiology and exercise science program, including practical and physical activities.
  • Maintain a minimum of one office hour per week for each course taught.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or a closely related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Potential or demonstrated ability to teach undergraduate courses in areas such as physical activity, injury prevention, exercise physiology, motor control, strength and conditioning, and related disciplines.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Doctoral degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or a related field.
  • Experience teaching Kinesiology or Exercise Science courses at the undergraduate level.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Expertise in the specific physical activity course to be taught (if applicable).
