Description
Lecturer (Kinesiology and Exercise Science) – Part‑time, temporary, non‑tenure position at the University of Hawai‘i didates must be available to teach during the day, evening, weekend, and/or via distance learning as needed.
Responsibilities- Conduct lectures and laboratory courses in the kinesiology and exercise science program, including practical and physical activities.
- Maintain a minimum of one office hour per week for each course taught.
- Master’s degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or a closely related field from an accredited college or university.
- Potential or demonstrated ability to teach undergraduate courses in areas such as physical activity, injury prevention, exercise physiology, motor control, strength and conditioning, and related disciplines.
- Doctoral degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or a related field.
- Experience teaching Kinesiology or Exercise Science courses at the undergraduate level.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Expertise in the specific physical activity course to be taught (if applicable).
- Cover letter indicating the discipline(s) or course(s) for which you are seeking a Lecturer appointment, and how you meet the minimum and desirable qualifications.
- A current curriculum vitae or resume.
