Duties:
Under the general supervision of the Kipuka Native Hawaiian Student Center, plan, and coordinate Title III Paieie Activity 3 initiatives for the University of Hawai'I at Hilo (UH Hilo) and Hawai'I Community College (HCC) faculty.
Develop Hawaii-focused curriculum and professional development opportunities for faculty at UHH and HCC campuses.Plan, coordinate, and oversee the implementation of all Title III Paieie Activity 3 initiatives for the University of Hawaii at Hilo (UHH) and Hawaii Community College (HCC) faculty.Organize, conduct, and evaluate faculty research workshops and academic presentations.Monitor, collect data, and evaluate the engagement and participation of students, administrators, faculty, and staff, and maintain written and electronic implementation on programs and activities.Work in multiple work settings and maintain a variable work schedule including nights, weekends, and/or holiday hours, as directed or required.Other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications:Possession of a baccalaureate degree in any field from an accredited university and 3 years of progressively responsible professional experience with responsibilities for developing Hawaii-focused curriculum; or any equivalent combination of education and/or professional work experience which provides the required education, knowledge, skills and abilities as indications.Experience in developing and teaching Hawaii-focused curriculum.Demonstrated knowledge of UH Hilo programs and services.Previous experience working in a higher education institution.Demonstrated ability to operate a personal computer and apply word processing software.Any equivalent combination of education and/or professional work experience which provides the required education, knowledge, skills, and abilities as indicated.Desirable Qualifications
