Location: Hawai'i Community College – Various Locations (East Hawaii (Hilo), West Hawaii (Kailua‑Kona), North Hawaii (Honokaa) Campuses)

Part‑time, non‑tenure track, for placement in Spring, Summer and/or Fall lecturer pool, assignments as needed, contingent on availability of funds and actual staffing requirements for East Hawaii (Hilo), West Hawaii (Kailua‑Kona), and/or North Hawaii (Honokaa) campuses. Must be able to attend meetings and trainings on short notice as well as teach courses in person, as necessary.

• Under general supervision, conduct lecture and, as appropriate, laboratory courses in mathematics.
• May include instructional assignment involving distance education.
• Maintain at least one office hour per week for each class taught.
• Possible evening, weekend and off‑campus assignments.
• Conduct student evaluations of teaching effectiveness.
• Participate in assessment of course learning outcomes.
• Adhere to all due dates, including the online submission of grades.

• Master’s in Mathematics;
• OR Master’s in Math Education with 18 credits of advanced coursework in math of which 9 credits are at the graduate level;
• OR Master’s of Art in Teaching Math with 18 credits of advanced coursework in math, at least 9 of which are at the graduate level;
• OR Master’s in a STEM‑related field with 18 credits of advanced coursework in math.

• Willingness to work with Running Start and Early College programs and pass required additional screening as necessary.
• Demonstrated commitment and/or experience supporting the success of students.
