Placement in Spring, Summer, and/or Fall lecturer pool; assignments as needed; contingent on availability of funds and actual staffing requirements; must attend meetings and trainings on short notice and teach courses in person as necessary.
Duties and Responsibilities- Under general supervision, conduct lecture and/or laboratory courses in the discipline.
- May include instructional assignment involving distance education.
- Maintain at least one office hour per week for each class taught.
- Possible evening, weekend, and off‑campus assignments.
- Conduct student evaluations of teaching effectiveness.
- Participate in assessment of course learning outcomes.
- Adhere to all due dates, including the online submission of grades.
- Master’s degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry; or Master’s in Chemical Engineering, Geochemistry, Chemical Oceanography, Organic Chemistry, Forensics Chemistry, Chemical Physics, or Environmental Chemistry with 18 credits of advanced coursework in Chemistry/Biochemistry (300‑400 level courses offered in a bachelor’s program).
- Willingness to work with Running Start and Early College programs and pass required additional screening as necessary.
- Demonstrated commitment and/or experience supporting the success of students.
