Location: Hawaii Community College – East, West, and North campuses (Hilo, Kailua‑Kona, Honokaa).
Position Type: Part‑Time Temporary.
Salary: Minimum $1,978.00 per credit.
Other Conditions- Part‑time, non‑tenure track, for placement in the Spring, Summer, and/or Fall lecturer pool.
- Assignments as needed, contingent on funding and staffing requirements.
- Must attend meetings and trainings on short notice and teach courses in person as required.
- Conduct lecture and, as appropriate, laboratory courses in the discipline under general supervision.
- May include instructional assignments involving distance education.
- Maintain at least one office hour per week for each class taught.
- Possible evening, weekend, and off‑campus assignments.
- Conduct student evaluations of teaching effectiveness.
- Participate in assessment of course learning outcomes.
- Adhere to all due dates, including the online submission of grades.
- Master’s degree in English, Writing, or Fine Arts (Creative Writing).
- Willingness to work with Running Start and Early College programs and pass any required additional screening.
- Demonstrated commitment and/or experience supporting the success of students.
