The H TX TRANSMISSION & DISTRIBUTION ENGINEERING Department of the H ENGINEERING Division at Hawaiian Electric Company has one management vacancy available. (Role: Professional) This posting seeks to fill at either the Engineer I/Engineer II (T&D) ; whichever level is most suited to the qualifications of the applying candidate.
Engineer I Job Function:
Under direct supervision of higher level professional engineers, performs design, project engineering, project management and general engineering duties in support of the capital construction programs of Hawaiian Electric. Independently evaluates, selects and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications. Assignments have clear and specified objectives and require the investigation of a limited number of variables.
Receives instruction on specific assignment objectives, complex features and possible solutions. Assistance is furnished on unusual problems and work is reviewed for application of sound professional judgment.
Engineer II Job Function:
Performs design, project engineering, project management, and general engineering duties in support of the capital construction programs of Hawaiian Electric. Plans and conducts work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures and criteria. Devises new approaches to problems encountered.
