Civil Engineer III
Performs moderately difficult professional engineering work in the design, construction, maintenance, and operation of civil engineering projects; prepares designs, plans, specifications, estimates, and reports; and performs other related duties as required. There are two (2) immediate vacancies:
- One (1) immediate permanent full-time vacancy with the Department of Environmental Management
- Wastewater Division in Hilo. May be eligible to receive a Recruitment Incentive up to $25,734. Conditions apply. - One (1) immediate permanent full-time vacancy with the Department of Environmental Management
- Wastewater Division in Kailua-Kona. May be eligible to receive a Recruitment Incentive up to $25,734. Conditions apply.
Starting salary will be based on the qualifications of the person selected.
The eligible list may be used for other permanent and temporary vacancies as they arise during the life of the list. Temporary appointment may lead to conversion to permanent appointment.
The next level in the series is Civil Engineer IV, EN-24, $8,299 - $10,594/month.
Persons hired into career ladder positions must meet minimum qualifications for the next level in the career ladder series, perform work at the higher level, and meet performance requirements to move to the next level in the career ladder series.
