About the Position
This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command 500th Military Intelligence Brigade, 715h Military Intelligence Battalion Office of S3.
Duties- Serve as a Deputy Chief of the Army Pacific Technical Control and Analysis Element (TCAE), overseeing the day‑to‑day operations of the TCAE.
- Develop and implementing near and long‑term plans.
- Represent tactical SIGINT interests at high‑level forums, working groups and committees.
- Assign work among employees and provides expert direction for analytical agenda.
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
- In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600‑85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention Control Program, must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on a T5 (or equivalent level) investigation with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
- Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete a counterintelligence polygraph with no deception indicated (NDI) on the pre‑appointment and periodic basis.
- TDY may constitute up to 20% of time and there will be additional travel in the Pacific region.
- All INSCOM employees may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management.
