Job ResponsibilitiesPerforms detailed routines of limited complexity pertaining to processing of human resources actions which are typically: (a) assigned on a continuing basis; and (b) are covered by well established guidelines, procedures and/or instructions which provide a fairly specific basis for taking action; and performs other related duties as assigned.
QualificationsTo qualify, you must meet all of the following requirements:
- Legal Authorization to Work Requirement: The State of Hawaii requires all persons seeking employment with the government of the State shall be citizens, nationals, or permanent resident aliens of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States.
- General
Experience:
One year of progressively responsible general office clerical experience. - Specialized
Experience:
One year of experience in an office where the work required the knowledge and application of pertinent human resources rules, regulations, procedures and program requirements. - Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) Requirement: As required by the Prison Rape Elimination Act of 2003 (PREA), Federal law states that "...an agency shall not hire or promote anyone who may have contact with inmates and who:"
- Other Requirements: Applicants who are conditionally offered employment or conditionally approved for movement into positions with the Department of Public Safety shall be subject to drug screening, as required by Federal, State or local law or departmental policy; and will be subject to an intensive background check. Applicants will be responsible for any costs involved.
- Driver's License: Applicants must possess a valid driver's license at the time of appointment.
