Performs a variety of employment service functions ranging from the simple to moderately complex which do not require the services of a fully trained journeyman specialist, and performs other related duties as assigned.

• Legal Authorization to Work: Citizens, nationals, or permanent resident aliens of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States.
• Basic
  
  Education:
  
  A bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
• Specialized
  
  Experience:
  
  Six (6) months of progressively responsible professional work experience in one or a combination of Type A or Type B experience below.
• Type A:
  • Progressively responsible full-time experience in employment service, personnel administration or related fields with at least one of the following duties:
  • Obtaining applications for employment and assessing applicants' qualifications.
  • Determining job content and requirements.
  • Developing methods and techniques for improvement of personnel or employment programs.
  • Referring applicants to suitable jobs.
• Type B:
  • Progressively responsible professional experience in the field of social work or related fields, involving counseling or guidance for youths or adults with personal, social, and emotional problems.

This temporary position may lead to membership in the civil service upon satisfactory completion of an initial probation period of at least six months.
