Licensed Esthetician

The Licensed Esthetician functions as an integral member of the Spa team by providing guest services and thorough and professional skin care therapy. The hourly rate for this position is $16.00 plus commission on treatments.

• Provide product, gift and treatment recommendations to guests which promote health and wellness
• Perform inventories, as needed
• Assist in setting up displays
• Wash and fold towels, clean facilities and equipment, and maintain refreshments

• Maintain high sanitary standards, including performing safety inspections of spa facilities and addressing any deficiencies
• Ensure that required equipment and supplies are ready and in good working order
• Familiar with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately
• Perform all tasks and provide services in conformance with policies, procedures, work instructions, training, codes of conduct, recognized best practices, safety laws and regulations
• Interact with other departments or contractors to assure seamless delivery of the program for the benefit of our guests
• Serve as a subject matter expert on specific programs
• Adhere to the “leave no trace” principles when performing tasks
• Other duties as requested

• Education:
  
  Professional education relevant to work as an esthetician and sufficient for the State of Hawaii licensing requirements
• Experience:
  
  At least two years of post-license experience
• Possession of a valid Hawaii license as an esthetician, as needed
• Able to deal effectively and interact well with guests and co-workers
• Available for work which may include weekends and evening scheduling
• Excellent communication skills
• Able to perform simple arithmetic involved in selling products and making change
• Demonstrated knowledge, understanding, and application of wellness concepts
• Knowledge in the safe and appropriate use of tools, equipment, props and procedures related to the essential functions of the job
• Ability and skill in using basic computer systems and software
• Physical Requirements:
  • Able to lift 25 pounds
  • Able to remain standing for long periods of time
  • Able to maneuver and control equipment
  • Able to work with and around chemicals present in swimming pools and spas
  • Able to perform all essential duties with or without accommodation
