Duties SummaryPerforms extensive field work and outreach; serves as liaison between professional staff and clients; performs preliminary screening for continued eligibility for social service programs.
Minimum Qualification RequirementsTo qualify, you must meet all of the following:
- Legal Authorization: Be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident alien, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the U.S.
- Basic Education/Experience: Graduation from high school or equivalent, or demonstrated ability to read, comprehend, and apply written directions, with good verbal skills and basic math skills.
- Specialized Experience: Three years providing supportive services in a social or health-related agency, involving client interaction, documentation, transport, and group activities. Experience must involve engaging with clients. Applicants for Social Service Assistant IV must have at least one year of experience comparable to Social Service Aid III in State government.
- Driver's License: A valid driver's license may be required for some positions.
