This position will provide the opportunity to grow your pharmaceutical skills under the direct guidance of a state licensed pharmacist while providing essential care to our patients in our closed-door pharmacy. Sign-On Bonus: $2,500
Shift Differential: $1/hr. after 3pm

Position posted for a minimum of 7 business days.
Responsibilities- Enter data into computer system to fill prescriptions and obtain reimbursement/payment, utilizing knowledge of drugs, medical nomenclature, and the metric system.
- Read prescriptions and input medical data, including performing drug calculations and interpreting physicians’ orders into the computerized medication order system.
- Perform computer system operations which may include order entry, billing, crediting, and updating medical records.
- Input daily orders (new and refills).
- Audit the input versus documentation and make corrections as required.
- Generate reports as needed.
- Identify and resolve issues of denials or follow-up of claims, by maintaining current knowledge of Medicaid claim regulations and processes.
- Participate in orientation, training, competency assessment, and evaluation of Pharmacy Data Entry Technicians.
- May enter IV medication orders into the medication order system.
- Perform Pharmacy Technician duties as required.
- Perform other tasks assigned.
- Conduct job responsibilities in accordance with the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, its policies and procedures, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, applicable federal and state laws, and applicable professional standards.
- High School Diploma or equivalent;
National PTCB Technician Certification desired - One year experience in data entry in a long-term care pharmacy
- Ability to communicate effectively, work as a member of a team, recognize and identify patient medications
- Skilled in operating a computer
- Skilled in performing detailed work
- Knowledge of Medicaid claims regulations and processes
- As required by state, technician licensure or certification in Texas, Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, Arkansas
- Possess communication, initiative, problem-solving, team orientation, leadership, and detail-orientation skills
