Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with at least 2 years of acute hospital experience and active ARRT(CT) certification for a 13-week travel assignment in Hawaii.
Responsibilities- Acute care hospital setting in Hilo, Hawaii
- CT Scan department performing routine and advanced CT imaging
- Procedures include routine CT scans, MIP, MPR, and 3D imaging, with opportunities for biopsies, drainages, vascular/cardiac imaging, trauma, and stroke cases
- Canon/Toshiba CT units and Vitrea workstation used (experience preferred)
- Meditech EMR used (experience preferred)
- 10-hour varied shifts with no on-call requirement
- All travelers must report to Employee Health 48–72 hours prior to the start of assignment; travelers should plan to arrive in Hawaii the Thursday before a Monday start date to attend a Friday morning Employee Health appointment
- Proof of flu vaccination or a facility-approved medical or religious exemption is required prior to the contract start date; flu vaccination may be administered at the Employee Health clearance appointment
- COVID-19 vaccination required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an acute hospital setting
- Active ARRT(CT) certification required
- Current BLS/BCLS certification required
- Active State of Hawaii Radiologic Technologist license required by start of assignment — license required if applicable
- Must be able to scan per radiologist protocols and function independently without supervision
- Venipuncture experience preferred
- Experience with vascular or cardiac imaging, trauma, or stroke a plus
