American Traveler is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience for a 26‑week inpatient rehab assignment in Hilo, Hawaii, requiring independent proficiency in Modified Barium Swallow Studies.
Details- Inpatient acute care rehabilitation setting with possible outpatient referrals
- SNF‑level and rehab hospital patient populations
- Performs Modified Barium Swallow (MBS) Studies independently in radiology
- EMR system is Epic; training in documentation provided
- Day shift schedule, 5 days per week with likely inclusion of one weekend day
- Floating to another facility may be required depending on census and staffing
- Active Hawaii SLP license required by start of assignment; license required if applicable
- ASHA certification required
- Current BLS/BCLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Speech‑Language Pathologist, preferably in SNF or rehab hospital settings
- Acute care experience required
- Independent and proficient completion of Modified Barium Swallow Studies in radiology without radiologist supervision required
- Provides speech therapy services in an inpatient rehab and acute care setting, with possible outpatient referrals
- Conducts Modified Barium Swallow Studies independently in the radiology department
- Orientation to the rehab area and training on Epic EMR documentation will be provided
- All travelers must report to Employee Health 48–72 hours prior to the start of the assignment; plan to arrive in Hawaii the Thursday before a Monday start to attend a Friday Employee Health appointment
- Scrubs or attire per facility dress code policy required
