The full-time Patient Biller, Specialty Billing will perform hospital billing and follow-up functions remotely, ensuring accurate billing, resolving claim edits, and managing denial issues in accordance with applicable standards and regulations.
Key responsibilities- Perform hospital billing and follow-up functions, resolving claim edits and ensuring accurate billing
- Track, trend, and resolve denial issues for assigned payers and service lines
- Work with system-generated claims and record requests, addressing credit balance accounts and denial management
- HFMA Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) within 120 days of hire
- Minimum of 4 years of hospital billing and collection experience, including specialty billing functions
- Experience with hospital billing information systems and understanding of UB04 field requirements
- Knowledge of medical insurance rules and regulations related to hospital billing
- Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding principles
