Position: EXECUTIVE OFFICE ON AGING (EOA) BOLD 2 COORDINATOR

This posting is for the State of Hawaii,
Department of Health, Executive Office on Aging.

The position is located in Downtown on the Island of Oahu.

$6,043 per month, salary commensurate w/ training and experience

Exempt, Non-Civil Service, Full-Time, Temporary Appointment.

  • 1) improve implementation of the goals identified in the Hawaii 2035 Strategic Plan for Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias (ADRD) by maintaining an engaged coalition,
  • 2) increase awareness and understanding of ADRD and brain health among the general public, providers, and other professionals in culturally tailored ways to reduce risk, improve linkages to treatment and services, prevent poor health outcomes, and support caregivers,
  • 3) increase opportunities to develop the workforce capacity for professionals, paraprofessionals and caregivers,
  • 4) increase the number of community-clinical linkages among health care systems and existing services, public health agencies, and community-based organizations to ensure inclusion and expanded use of effective (evidence based or evidence informed) interventions, and
  • 6) increase the use of data for continuous quality improvement and to inform providers, program development and policy as well as monitor progress on the implementation of the Hawaii 2035.
EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Public Health, Public Administration, or related field required. Masters Degree in Social Work, Public Health, or Public Administration or related field preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

Three plus (3) years of related experience in federal project and budget management. Ability to demonstrate knowledge of Alzheimer's and dementia. Must possess excellent writing skills. Good communicator. Able to work in a team environment.
