• Minimum 3 years of experience in an acute hospital setting.
• Must be competent to proficient in adult echocardiography, including 2D-Mode, Doppler CW & PW, valvular disease studies, color flow mapping, cardiomyopathies, congenital heart disease, pericardial disease, effusions, 2D and 3D TEEs, and hypertensive heart disease studies.
• Must be proficient with Canon i700 and i900 equipment.
• Must be proficient with Epic EMR.
• Floating to other departments required.
• Call required when appropriate.
• Pediatric experience is a plus but not required.
• Personal scrubs or healthcare professional attire required.

The Echo Technologist performs advanced adult echocardiography studies in an acute hospital setting, including transthoracic and 2D/3D transesophageal echocardiography and studies for various cardiac conditions. The technologist uses Epic EMR and Canon i700 and i900 equipment and may float to other departments and participate in call coverage when appropriate.

• Perform adult echocardiograms using 2D-Mode, Doppler CW & PW, and color flow mapping.
• Perform valvular disease, cardiomyopathy, congenital heart disease, pericardial disease, effusion, and hypertensive heart disease studies.
• Perform 2D and 3D TEEs.
• Use Epic EMR.
• Operate Canon i700 and i900 equipment.
• Float to other departments as required.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in an acute hospital setting.

• RDCS certification.
• AHA BLS.

• Variable schedule.
• 40-hour work schedule.
• Call when appropriate.
• Floating to other departments required.
