Tech Echo​/Ultrasound​/Sonographer

Job Summary:

Provides diagnostic ultrasound imaging to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients across various clinical areas. Operates specialized equipment to perform a range of ultrasound procedures with proficiency and accuracy.

Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive ultrasound examinations of the abdomen, gynecological, obstetric, neonatal, superficial structures, and vascular systems.
• Utilize equipment such as Canon i700, Fuji Synapse PACS, and Meditech EMR to capture high-quality images.
• Evaluate and document findings accurately for interpretation by physicians.
• Maintain patient safety, comfort, and privacy during procedures.
• Adhere to facility protocols and standards for image quality and documentation.
• Provide call coverage and float to other units or departments as needed.

Qualifications:

• Possess a minimum of 3 years' experience as a full-time sonographer in an acute hospital setting.
• Hold current ARDMS certification in Abdomen, OB, and RVT specialties.
• Maintain active BLS certification through AHA.
• Demonstrate proficiency in performing diverse ultrasound procedures including aspirations, biopsies, and intraoperative scans.
• Exhibit strong knowledge of anatomical structures, pathology, and ultrasound equipment operation.
