Overview
Registered Nurse
- Labor & Delivery (L&D) | Hilo, Hawaii, United States | Start 11/09/2026 | 13 weeks | $1,826–$1,908 per week | No guaranteed hours | 3x12 rotating shifts | Travel
- Temporary Assignment in a hospital setting
- Weekly pay: $1,826–$1,908 per week
- Guaranteed hours:
None - Contract duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour shifts, rotating days and nights (36 hours weekly after orientation) with call at least once per month
- Start date:
11/09/2026 - Work setting:
Labor & Delivery unit within a hospital
- Provide direct nursing care for laboring patients, including monitoring maternal and fetal status and managing labor progression
- Assist with delivery and deliver immediate newborn care, plus postpartum support for the mother
- Monitor fetal status using fetal monitoring systems and document findings in the electronic medical record (Meditech); collaborate with the obstetric team
- Deliver postpartum education and support for families, including breastfeeding initiation; uphold safety and infection control practices
- Work in an L&D unit configured with 8 labor beds and 18 postpartum beds; respond to obstetric emergencies as part of the care team
- Arrive the Thursday before start to complete employee health requirements and orientation prerequisites
- Active Hawaii RN license by start of assignment (or eligibility and must obtain license prior to start); travelers not currently in possession of a Hawaii license must apply on offer acceptance
- BLS and NRP certifications required
- Labor and delivery experience: minimum 3 years
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts with 36 hours per week after orientation; scheduled call at least once per month; day/night variability
- Proficiency with Meditech electronic medical record and fetal monitoring systems (GE/Centricity)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to work in a fast-paced obstetric setting
- 24/7 recruiter and travel support
