Job Summary:

Provides specialized nutritional assessment, planning, and education services to patients across various clinical settings. Collaborates with healthcare teams to ensure optimal nutritional care and adherence to medical nutrition therapy protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments for patients from pediatric to geriatric populations.
• Develop and update personalized nutrition care plans based on patient needs and clinical guidelines.
• Educate patients and staff on nutrition support, dietary modifications, and wellness strategies.
• Review patient assessment requests, recommend appropriate interventions, and document findings in electronic medical records.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams during rounds and meetings to optimize patient outcomes.
• Provide nutrition services across multiple hospital units, including ICU, long-term care, pediatric, and surgical units.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Registered Dietitian credential from the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
• Possess at least one year of clinical nutrition experience in acute, long-term, or critical care settings.
• Demonstrate ability to perform medical nutrition therapy and nutrition assessments effectively.
• Have experience with food service management and electronic medical record charting.
• Be licensed to practice as a Dietitian in Hawaii prior to starting the assignment.
