- Setting:
Inpatient hospital environment - Eligible for on-call coverage and departmental floating as needed
- Perform comprehensive adult echocardiography studies using 2D, Doppler (CW & PW), color flow mapping; evaluate valvular disease, cardiomyopathies, congenital heart disease, pericardial disease, and effusions
- Conduct 2D and 3D transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) as indicated
- Assist with pediatric studies when applicable; pediatric experience is a plus but not required
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment (Canon i700 and i900); ensure high-quality imaging and patient safety
- Document findings in the EMR (Epic); prepare preliminary reports for cardiology review; maintain accurate patient data and workflow
- Collaborate with the cardiology team, participate in on-call coverage as needed, and float to other departments as required
- Certifications:
RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) with active American Heart Association BLS; ARDMS or CCI certification also accepted - Experience:
Minimum 3 years of echocardiography in an acute hospital setting - EMR:
Experience with Epic EMR is preferred - Education:
