Duties Summary
This position is located in the Employee Assistance Office, Employee Relations Division of the Department of Human Resources Development. The role provides professional staff support services to the State's Deferred Compensation Plan Board of Trustees to ensure the Board fulfills its statutory and fiduciary duties and that the State's Deferred Compensation Plan functions smoothly in compliance with all State and federal laws.
Key responsibilities include complex research, development, and implementation assignments related to Plan administration, including the development, coordination, and implementation of a comprehensive outreach and education program for eligible State employees, and provision of management advisory services and guidance to line personnel on matters related to the implementation and administration of the Plan.
Minimum Qualification Requirements- Legal Authorization to Work Requirement: Must be a citizen, national, or permanent resident alien of the United States or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States.
- Basic Education/
Experience:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four‑year college or university. - Specialized
Experience:
Three and one‑half years of professional work experience in human resources management functions (e.g., recruitment, placement, examination, position classification, pay or wage administration, employee management relations, employee development, human resources program development, labor relations, or human resources research). - Selective Certification Requirement: At least one year of experience involving planning, developing, coordinating, and/or implementing a defined contribution plan.
- Supervisory Aptitude: Supervisory aptitude may be accepted in lieu of actual supervisory experience, provided there is strong evidence of the necessary supervisory abilities and/or potential.

Salary: $6,043 to $7,351 per month (SR‑24, Step D to I).
