HR Specialist (Temporary), Honolulu, HI (Downtown), Full Time, Temporary (3+ months)
Pay: $19.35-$25.80 per hour, depending on experience.
Schedule & Location- Monday
- Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM - Onsite role in Downtown Honolulu
- Parking not provided
- Start ASAP, anticipated duration: ~3 months (may extend based on business needs)
- Health and welfare plan administration: enrollments, changes, terminations; respond to benefits inquiries and escalations.
- Coordinate billing, payment requests and documentation.
- Pre-employment processes: background checks, onboarding coordination, scheduling start dates, orientations, onboarding audits.
- Support onboarding experience for new hires and hiring managers.
- Maintain accurate HRIS records, track recruitment data, assist with weekly reporting and status updates, develop HR dashboards and reports.
- Assist with employee wellness initiatives, benefits open enrollment, new hire orientation, internal HR communications.
- Develop and deliver employee education and training materials.
- Respond to internal and external HR inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Process improvement, data analysis, special projects; backup support for leave administration and compliance-related processes.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws; maintain documentation and required reporting.

- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 2+ years of HR-related experience, preferably in benefits administration, HRIS, onboarding/recruiting, or HR operations.
- Bachelor’s degree may substitute for required experience.
- No relocation; in-state applicants only.
- Must be available to interview immediately.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong communication and customer-service skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR systems
