Cyber Automation Engineer (Job Number: R0239092)

Design, implement, integrate, and maintain systems and tools to automate complex cyber activities. Apply functional, working, and general industry knowledge. Develop or contribute to solutions to a variety of moderate‑scope problems. Work independently with some guidance. Review or guide activities of junior employees.

• Experience with troubleshooting
• Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts such as network security, system security, or security operations
• Knowledge of security tools or environments through coursework, labs, or internships
• Knowledge of automation concepts for scripting such as simple scripts, workflows, or task automation
• Ability to document issues and solutions
• Ability to follow existing playbooks and assist in automating repetitive security tasks
• Secret clearance
• HS diploma or GED

• Experience with scripting languages such as Python
• Knowledge of log analysis or SIEM tools
• Knowledge of cybersecurity tools such as endpoint protection, network monitoring, or cloud security platforms
• Knowledge of Linux or command‑line environments

• Remote:
  If this position is listed as remote, there may still be occasions when you are required to work in person at a Booz Allen or customer facility.
• Hybrid:
  If this position is listed as hybrid, you will be expected to work from a Booz Allen facility frequently, in alignment with leadership expectations and the needs of the role. You may also be required to work from or visit a customer facility.
• Onsite:
  If this position is listed as onsite, work will primarily be performed at a Booz Allen office or customer facility, where employees will collaborate directly with colleagues and customers as required by the role.
