Department of Transportation Services is looking for a Maintenance Management Information Systems Specialist (Planner VI) to oversee the development and implementation of the Maintenance Management Information System (MMIS) for rail including the design, business rules, data requirements, access, privileges, and business processes.
Duties and Responsibilities- Responsibility for overseeing MMIS process improvements.
- Ensuring the MMIS provides users with access to incident tracking, asset tracking, service request and work order tracking, maintenance planning, inventory, purchasing, warranty claims, key performance indicators, and reports.
- Reviewing project and program material requirements, analyzing current inventory levels and recommending additional ordering quantities and appropriate delivery schedules.
- Ensuring the contractor is fully utilizing the MMIS, implementing new patches and versions, addressing MMIS issues, and ensuring the system operates with resilience.
- Performing other duties and responsibilities of the position.
Equivalent to graduation from a regionally-accredited four‑year college or university with a bachelor's degree in information systems, public or business administration, or a related field.
Experience RequirementFour years of experience performing Maintenance Management Information System and inventory control work as a primary function, two of which must have been in a large public or private transportation organization.
Additional RequirementsAt time of application, you must be a citizen, national or permanent resident alien of the United States or a non‑citizen eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment.
SalaryActual salary will be commensurate with applicable experience, pending approval.
