Job Overview
The Hospital Billing Senior Analyst provides EHR design, build, testing, and advanced troubleshooting for Nordic’s complex clients. The role requires strong technical and soft skills and includes day‑to‑day work overseen by Application Advisors and Senior Application Advisors.
Responsibilities- Perform advanced troubleshooting and problem‑solving to ensure integrity, integration, and stability of EHR applications.
- Analyze system requests from customers, translate needs into detailed requirement specifications, and perform system build and testing.
- Analyze workflows, system setup, and system audits, and participate in system upgrades and testing.
- Exercise moderate judgment and contribute to decisions that impact patient safety, financial integrity, and regulatory compliance; determine appropriate escalation levels.
- Manage multiple customer assignments with minimal oversight, maintaining awareness of unique builds and processes, and managing open issues in a ticketing system, email, and calendar.
- Simultaneously manage multiple complex clients and projects, ensuring timely resolution of issues and monitoring customer‑specific communications.
- Complete up‑to‑date documentation in the ticketing system regarding requests processed and incidents solved while meeting Service Level Agreements.
- Follow change‑control policies for migrating application builds and configurations.
- Work on projects assigned on an ad‑hoc basis and assist in internal initiatives as directed.
- Provide outstanding customer service, anticipate shifting needs, deliver high‑quality support, and build relationships with customer IT and operations staff.
- Participate in communication and change‑management of proposed changes, ensuring concerns from affected groups are addressed.
- Contribute to a supportive team culture, focus priorities under guidance of managers, and assist in onboarding new team members.
- Explain complex system setups in an accessible manner to internal staff and day‑to‑day customer counterparts.
- Delegate less complicated tasks to peers and oversee their completion.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or 8+ years of industry experience.
- Epic Certification in Hospital Billing with a strong understanding of the application’s functionality.
- 3‑5+ years of experience implementing, training, or supporting EHR modules.
- Demonstrated embodiment of Nordic’s maxims.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Prior experience with ticketing systems and change‑management processes.
- Strong customer‑service track record.
- Knowledge of ITIL processes, prior management or project‑management experience, and participation in systems implementations (preferred).
- Availability for on‑call rotations outside core business hours, including nights and weekends.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
