The Public Health Program Manager manages a major statewide public health program within the State Department of Health on Oahu. This non-physician manager role involves developing and implementing policies, planning and coordinating program services, and overseeing budgeting and staffing for a major division. The position works under the general supervision of a division head and coordinates with departmental personnel, other government agencies, and community groups to improve health service delivery.
KeyQualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university
- 3.5 years of progressively responsible professional experience in social work, public health, or related field
- 2 years of supervisory experience managing professional staff
- Demonstrated managerial aptitude through organizing, scheduling, and coordinating activities
- Knowledge of public health laws, regulations, and current public health programs and services
- Valid driver's license (may be required for some positions)
