This posting is for the State of Hawaii, Department of Health, Emergency Medical Services & Injury Prevention System Branch.
The position is located in Manoa to Kahala on the Island of Oahu.
Salary: $9,462 - $15,137 per month (salary commensurate with training and experience)
Exempt, Non-Civil Service, Full-Time, Temporary Appointment.
This position serves as the overall project manager and leads the full integration of the MEDICOM Center within all RHT initiatives. The position provides strategic oversight to ensure statewide alignment of RHT programs impacting the MEDICOM Center, while maintaining full compliance with federal requirements associated with the RHT program. This position is responsible for the statewide planning, implementation, and ongoing operational sustainability of the MEDICOM Center, including the integration of key RHT initiatives such as MIH, CP, EMS and hospital technology systems, and interoperable electronic patient care reporting.
Additionally, the position ensures adherence to all grant requirements and provides centralized leadership, coordination, and governance across all RHT initiatives within the EMSIPS Branch. This includes directing and integrating efforts across the six statewide strategic RHT initiatives, aligning medical facilities and key stakeholders to support a cohesive, efficient, and unified statewide implementation.
Graduation from an accredited four-year (4) college or university with a bachelor's degree, with preference for an advanced degree in science, public health, health administration, systems engineering, or a related field.
Experience General Experience- Two (2) years of progressively responsible professional experience involving high-level analytical work.
- Three (3) years of specialized experience leading complex program operations in EMS communications, interfacility transfers, or similar mission critical statewide environments.
- Three (3) years of supervisory or managerial experience overseeing professional staff in 24/7 operations, including directing work, evaluating performance, ensuring effective personnel management.
- (1) Incident Command/NIMS training (e.g., IC 100/200/700/800) required (or must be obtained within 6 months of hire)
- (2) valid Hawai'i driver's license preferred due to statewide duties and site visits
- (3) project/technology governance certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL, CISM or equivalent) preferred.
