This Project Manager I position with the Hawaii Department of Transportation / Highways Division on Maui involves planning, organizing, managing, implementing and evaluating professional projects according to project management principles. The role requires navigating complex issues and project constraints, defining project goals, creating detailed plans, communicating with stakeholders, monitoring progress, and recommending process improvements to ensure desired outcomes.
Key qualifications:- Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university
- Three and one-half (3.5) years of progressively responsible professional experience planning, directing, managing, monitoring, and evaluating projects
- Experience determining project goals, scope, deliverables, timelines, costs, and resources
- Experience leading project teams, administering budgets and contracts, and tracking project progress
- Valid driver's license at time of appointment
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
