We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) for a night shift contract assignment in Hawaii. This role is ideal for a nurse who thrives in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment and values teamwork and efficiency.
The Emergency Department features:
- 28 beds
- 4 trauma bays
- 2 behavioral health rooms
- 22 cardiac monitor rooms
This unit has rapid patient turnover and requires strong clinical skills and the ability to prioritize care effectively.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to patients across the lifespan
- Perform rapid triage and ongoing patient assessments
- Assist with trauma and emergency procedures
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Accurately document care in EPIC EMR
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members
- Night shifts
- 3 x 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours weekly) following orientation
- No guaranteed hours
- Holiday coverage may be required
- Active Hawaii RN license (required prior to start of assignment)
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room experience
- Strong critical thinking, multitasking, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a high-volume setting
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- Candidates must arrive the Thursday prior to the start date to attend employee health clearance on Friday.
- Must meet all onboarding and compliance requirements before beginning assignment.
